This website is the former home of my consulting practice, ScoutSeven. For nearly 20 years, I supported social change organizations and their digital aspirations. I am proud of the work I've done, and the people I've done it with.
Despite my expertise with technology, I have also become increasingly uncomfortable with how it mediates so many of our human connections. In early 2017, I was wrestling mightily with how this discomfort would inform my work.
Then, in March of that year, I was diagnosed with metastatic (advanced) breast cancer.
That will force a pretty big reckoning.
My treatment is going well. I may or may not live a long life. As I navigate this new era, I am closing my formal consulting practice so I can focus on what connecting means to me.
The photo on this page is of my 8-year-old son and me kayaking in the Sierras. Connecting and healing.
To all the talented, hard-working, and dedicated agents of change I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with over the years, I thank you.
